Wilmington University's nurse practitioner tracks share one shape: 750 clinical hours across four practicums. The DNP counts hours differently for each concentration, and the leadership programs carry smaller clinical pieces. WilmU's DNP overview mentions 1,500 hours for advanced practice nurses, while the curriculum page, the admission page and the catalog say 500, so confirm the figure for your cohort with the DNP Program Chair. The clinical hours guide splits every figure by course.

Which WilmU nursing programs have clinical practicums?
The MSN-FNP, the FNP and PMHNP Graduate Certificates, both BSN to DNP tracks and the DNP have practicum or practice-hour courses. MSN Leadership's Educator concentration has MSN 7752, and the RN to BSN includes community learning in NUR 430.
Is WilmU's MSN-FNP fully online?
WilmU lists the MSN-FNP format as Online, and the same page describes two face-to-face seminars a year for practicum students. The practicum hours themselves are in-person work beside a preceptor, in a state where your RN licensure is current.
When do WilmU's NP programs start?
The MSN-FNP and the NP Graduate Certificates start cohorts in the Fall and Spring, and applications close on May 1 for a Fall start and on October 1 for a Spring start. The DNP starts in the Spring, Summer and Fall.
